WWI began in 1914 began when the Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assinated. This war was between the Allies and the Central Powers, and in the end the Allies win. The Sussex Pledge was introduced, saying that Germany promises not to attack any other country without warning. The U.S. got involved during the Zimmerman note, which was when Germany wanted to become allies with Mexico. This war also started Militarism and Nationalism and affected Europe. !!Darfur!!
Darfur, located in Sudan which is Africa's largest country, has been involved in a crisis. This crisis started in the spring of 2003 when the SLM and the JEM launched an attack against the government's military and political and economic marginalization. President George W. Bush has declared this crisis a "genocide" and is the first president to make such a declaration. Darfur is being torn apart by the constant war and many people are now suffering.

Blog Questions<3
#1.
What are the stereotypes that describe each region of the United States?
Are they valid? Why or why not?
(these are probably soo bad)
-The stereotypes are:
*Northeastern region, we are considered impaitant and kind of overpopulated
*Southeastern region, people there are assumed to be rednecks and talk in heavy southern accents.
*Southwestern region, people there are assumed to be rich and stuck-up-ish like celebrities and are beach lovers
*Rocky Mountain region, people there are assumed to be poor-ish and underpopulated probably because of the mountain-ish land and they also love to skii and snowboard, like me :)
*Midwestern region, people there are assumed to be farmers because of all the extra land
*Pacific region, because its along the coast of the Pacific many people love to hang at the beach all day <3
Valid or not:
*Northeastern region- this is valid because a lot of people live here because there are so many states so close together and people have said that we are always rushing like in the cities
*Southeastern region- this is not valid because a lot of people who live here are not always "rednecks" but they do speak in heavy southern accents
*Southwestern region- Because California is located here this is valid because most people try to act like the celebrities who live there and who are stuck up-ish and because they live by the ocean, it makes sense for them to love the beach
*Rocky Mountain region- this is not valid, I mean just because not many people live here doesn't mean people there are poor. But it is true that they love to do winter activities
*Midwestern region- this is valid because the Midwest is so huge and not that many people live here, so it makes sense that they are farmers, also because most of our crops and produce come from the Midwest
*Pacific region- this is valid because this region is along the coast of the Pacific ocean and there are plenty of beaches. <3

My Favs <3

Ok... so I don't really travel (mainly because my dad works like 24/7, trust me it gets REALLY annoying at times). So really the farthest place I've been and it also happens to be my favorite place was Sanibel Island, Florida. And yes it's TROPICAL! The hotel we were at was one giant slab of concrete but it was beautiful! AND it was across from the ocean! So when I woke up I could hear the waves! Ok so there were palm trees along every street and there were flamingos (the fake plastic ones) next to like every restaurant. At night the restaurants would always light up a pink color cause the theme to most of them were... flamingos! Oh, but be careful when going into the ocean because I was out in the middle of these two sand dunes, collecting sand dollars and when I got back to the beach I dropped the pile that I collected, looked down at my arms and saw that the dollars had pricked my arms and left needles in them, and trust me it HURT. And there was also this little baby shark that kept swimming around the shallow parts of the water, but it was so cute <3, so be warned! Oh, and the coordinates of the famous first lighthouse in Sanibel are about 27* N and about 82* W. I really recommend going to Sanibel Island ,Florida. Well, if you like white sand, crystal blue ocean, clear blue skies, and all around PERFECT temperature!!!! <3

!Welcome!
Heyy!
Welcome to my blog page! My name is Jessica and I am a Freshmen this year in High school. I was put into Geography class so.... here I am! Well, I think this class will be fun, I loved my Geography class in 7th grade and I think learning more about different places will be interesting!
Ok... so about me. My hobbies include anything artistic like drawing, designing, sculpting, making jewelery, ANYTHING!! I also LOVE to cook, I cook anything actually (I wanted to be in cooking class, but noo it had to be filled up!). Ok my favorite thing to eat is sushi (when I learn how to make that I will be sooo happy!). I am also a nerd when it comes to reading... I read for fun (don't make fun of me). I love to read any type of mystery or love books or fantasy books (that includes Twilight!). My favorite book has to be THE HOST by Stephanie Myer (author of Twilight!) oh and it's also like 620 pages!!! But, my other favorite book has to be NIGHTWORLD and thats like 815 pages!!!! (I love a long book if you can't tell)
So instead of hobbies.... I am a nice and funny person, I guess. I laugh like at anything (I know embarrassing right?). Oh, and I also love to travel (but someplace tropical!)
Soo that's my life!! <3
I'm also a Sagittarius
